Integrative Research Unit: Social and Individual Development (INSIDE)
INSIDE is an interdisciplinary research unit comprising researchers from psychology, sociology, educational sciences, and social work dedicated to the study of individual and social development in times of rapid social change
The research unit currently realizes research within three major research domains comprising several sub-domains:
Psychosocial Stress and Health
Generations and Development across the Life-span
Processes and Systems of Social Regulation
All domains reflect "areas of concern" in modern society which are strongly affected by demographic and socio-economic changes.
Furthermore, all domains contain demands and tasks that are novel in Europe in general and Luxembourg in particular underlining the need for descriptive knowledge as well as knowledge about steering and regulating these processes.
Social and Individual Development
As expressed in the university's second four-year plan (2010-2013), the University of Luxembourg considers “Social and Individual Development” to be one focus area of scientific research in social sciences and humanities.
